Staring at the pages beside me (instead of the blank page before me)

Here's one thing I like about being an English major:

There's something about driving to school with my last final paper/project neatly placed inside the folder on the seat next to me that says: "windows down."

When I have done this the past two semesters, Natasha Bedingfiled's "Unwritten" plays on the radio. This song seems to be a tradition for me that started when I drove to the Huntsman Center with Jennie Mangum in May 2007 to walk in high school graduation.

Tuesday was different. Tuesday it was "Pocketful of Sunshine" instead. I'll take it.
